Today & Soon in Golden Valley: Markets, Festival, Community Happenings

Hey Golden Valley — here’s your guide to what’s happening in the city today and on the horizon for you to enjoy.

What’s on Today

If it’s Sunday, there’s no better way to start the morning than at Market in the Valley. From 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM behind City Hall under the Water Tower (7800 Golden Valley Road), you’ll find local produce, baked goods, artisan crafts, live music and plenty of friendly chat. The market runs every Sunday from now through October.

Coming Up Soon

Golden Valley Festival – September 19

One date to block off: Golden Valley Festival happens on Saturday, September 19, from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Under the Water Tower, expect live bands, art and fine crafts, food trucks, activities for kids, and a beer & wine tent. If you’ve got pups, there’s even a dog costume parade. It’s one of the city’s biggest community celebrations.

Market Season & Beyond

The farmers market still has a few weeks left. Market in the Valley operates every Sunday 9 AM–1 PM through October 11, 2026. It’s a great chance to connect with local growers, makers, and neighbors. As the weather cools, there will also be an indoor “Winter Market in the Valley” later in the season.

Tips for Getting Out

  • If you’re going to the Festival, ride share or come early—parking can get tight under the Water Tower.
  • Bring a reusable bag (or two) to the Market—vendors often have fresh produce, baked treats, and crafts where cash or card helps but bags are always useful.
  • Bring layers. Morning and evenings are cooler, especially heading into fall.
  • Watch vendor or event social media—weather or scheduling adjustments happen, especially outdoors.

The rhythm of Golden Valley lately has been quietly beautiful: a farmers market on Sunday, a festival under the Water Tower just around the corner, and things to look forward to all through fall. Hope to see you out there!
